Overview

Tascosa Golf Club is seeking a dedicated and professional individual to become the Head Golf Professional. Tascosa Golf Club is an active investor owned 36-hole private facility located in Amarillo, Texas. The investor group, Dunn Golf Management, has several properties throughout Texas with other projects scheduled for the near future.  Tascosa will host the Korn Ferry Tour Occunet Classic beginning in June 2026.

 

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional golf experiences for members and guests by supervising staff, coordinating golf activities, and ensuring the golf experience is consistently executed at the highest standard. This position will offer additional revenue opportunities through lesson income and performance incentives.

 

Employment start date is approximately January 1, 2026 . The outgoing Head Golf Professional will provide some guidance in club nuances for a couple of months during the transition.

Experience Required

• PGA Class A Member
• Experience in golf professional staff leadership roll
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a member first mindset
• Ability to manage, motivate and develop staff
• Knowledgeable in tournament operations, merchandising, golf shop management and instructional programs
• Enthusiasm for delivering an exceptional member experience

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the golf operations. Manage the day-to-day personnel function & perform supervisory duties of golf staff in accordance with club policies. Ensure a welcoming and professional experience for members and guests.
• Assist in preparation of the annual budget and operating plan for the golf operation. Identify and present options that will increase revenue or reduce costs while maintaining the highest quality programs and service possible. Take corrective actions, as necessary, to help ensure budget goals are attained.
• Collaborate with the GM, Director of Agronomy and Golf Course Superintendents on course conditions, set-up and playability.
• Maintain a visible and engaging presence at the facility.
• Conduct quality and sometimes innovative club tournaments and related events.
• Oversee operations of a quality golf shop that features a range of quality merchandise and service reflective of members "tastes". Oversee ordering of merchandise and inventory items with the best selection and quality possible.
• Build and cultivate a team that understands the relationship between value, member satisfaction and member retention.
• Enthusiastically promote golf and golf activities with a high level of service.
• Play golf with members.
