Regional Technician Operations CoachDallas/Fort Worth Region
Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking experienced and passionate Veterinary Nurses/Technicians to join our team as Regional Technician Operations Coach (RTOC). This role is designed for nursing professionals who are deeply committed to advancing veterinary nursing excellence and who want to amplify their impact across multiple hospitals.
The DFW Metroplex Region includes approximately 18 clinics and hospitals. As an RTOC, you will partner closely with hospital leadership and Thrive’s Regional Director of Operations to support nursing operations, mentor technicians and assistants, and drive consistency, quality, and professional growth across the region.
This position supports the DFW Metroplex Regions (DFW East & West Regions). The role includes a blend of hands-on clinical work and regional support, with the expectation of being onsite four days per week for 4 - 6-week periods, depending on the specific scope of work. Locations and priorities will be determined by the Regional Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Support and elevate Veterinary Technicians and Assistants across the region to help individuals and teams reach their full potential.
- Partner with the Regional Director of Operations and hospital leadership teams to identify operational goals, gaps, opportunities, and help design and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with region and hospital leadership to develop and implement optimal nursing processes, workflows, and systems.
- Provide, coordinate, and facilitate Technician and Technician Assistant recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Coach veterinary technicians and assistants to strengthen critical thinking skills, clinical confidence, and decision-making.
- Identify and help implement local and regional opportunities for expanded or enhanced clinical services.
- Assist in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and hold Technician Team Leaders and others accountable for achieving success metrics.
- Optimize efficient utilization of resources across the region, including personnel, supplies, equipment, and specialized expertise.
- Identify, mentor, and develop local and regional nursing talent, supporting career pathways such as leadership, surgery, dental, inpatient care, exam room flow, specialty services, and value communication.
- Coach nursing leaders and team members through conflict management and difficult conversations. Model, mentor, and foster:

Minimum Qualifications
- Strongly Preferred: Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Texas.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Veterinary Nurse/Technician in a clinical setting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership, management, or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated success in mentoring, coaching, and developing team members.
- Proven contributor within a high-functioning, collaborative, and effective team.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional technical nursing skills with the ability to model best practices.
- Ability to influence, coach, and inspire without direct authority.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned region as needed.
