POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Representative to join our client's team and drive continued growth throughout Mexico, Central America, South America, and Brazil. This individual will focus primarily on expanding wholesale relationships within Latin American markets while also managing a portfolio of existing accounts.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, have prior experience selling fine jewelry in Latin American markets, and demonstrate a proven ability to generate $3 - 4 million or more in annual revenue. This role requires a relationship-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and understands how to balance account management with new business development.
This is an on-site role based in Manhattan, working closely with leadership and support teams to leverage an extensive live inventory of over 8,000 pieces of fine jewelry.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities:
- Develop and expand wholesale business across Mexico, Central America, South America, and Brazil.
- Manage and grow existing accounts while driving new business development (approximately 30% existing/70% new growth).
- Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with independent retailers, mid-size chains, and wholesalers.
- Conduct sales presentations in Spanish and Portuguese, including virtual and in-person meetings.
- Travel for trade shows and market visits domestically and internationally.
- Utilize CRM (Zoho) and internal sales systems to track performance, follow-ups, and account activity.
- Meet individual annual sales targets of $3 - 4 million, with top performers reaching $5 million+.
- Maintain consistent follow-up to ensure active accounts and strong client retention.
- Collaborate with internal support teams for pricing, product pulls, and order fulfillment.
Candidate Attributes Include:
- Business fluency in Spanish and Portuguese (spoken and written).
- Strong understanding of Latin American jewelry markets and buying behaviors.
- Relationship-driven sales approach with strong follow-through.
- Ability to generate new accounts while managing ongoing business.
- High accountability and performance orientation.
- Professional presence suitable for representing a global fine jewelry brand.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum five years' experience in fine jewelry wholesale sales.
- Required experience selling into Latin American and/or Brazilian markets.
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese with prior experience conducting sales conversations in both languages highly preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving $3 million+ in annual revenue.
- Strong understanding of diamonds, fine jewelry, bridal, colored stone, and fashion collections.
- Experience working with independent retailers, wholesalers, and multi-store accounts.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Must hold a valid U.S. passport or be able to obtain one, as international travel to Latin America and Brazil may be required.
WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT
- Location: Manhattan, New York (Diamond District).
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM.
- On-Site Requirement: Five days per week unless traveling for business.
- Travel: Required for trade shows and client visits (domestic and international).
This position requires regular presence in the office to access live inventory and support client needs. Flexibility may be earned over time based on performance.
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: $65,000 – 75,000 per year
- Tiered Commission Structure: 1% on all sales under $1M, additional 1% on all sales for that year if the sales cross $1M.
- On-Target Earnings: $115,000 - $130,000+ annually, depending on performance. Commission is paid on collected revenue.
- Individual sales targets: $3 - 4 million annually to start. Top performers currently generate $5 - 5.5 million annually.

As a De Beers site holder with extensive manufacturing capabilities, they supply finished fine jewelry to retailers and distributors worldwide. Their product range spans diamond jewelry, colored stone collections, bridal, and fashion lines across a wide price spectrum.
