Veterinary AssistantHealing Care Animal Hospital
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Healing Care Animal Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping animals and their owners. This position involves assisting veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animal patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, surgical suites, and medical equipment.
- Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with scheduling appointments.
- Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that the clinic is well-stocked.
- Clean and disinfect work areas and animal housing facilities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional veterinary training or certification is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a veterinary assistant
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior, care, and basic veterinary procedures.
- Proficiency in using veterinary software and electronic medical records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
- Physical stamina to lift and restrain animals when necessary.
